My Dance is Not a Hobby
This dance was developed to showcase my passion and love for dance and to illustrate that dance is not just a hobby for me. I dance because it is an integral part of who I am, a profound expression of my spiritual life, and the best way I can express myself. As an artist and professional dancer, dance is my true calling.

VANGUARDIA DANCE FESTIVAL 2025: INTERGENERATIONAL ENCOUNTER by VANGUARDIA DANCE PROJECTS
“My Dance is Not a Hobby” will be presented along side Norma Araiza’s “Ewi, what a dream! “ and Rulan Tangen’s “… asul a dula …” as part of the Vanguardia Dance Festival Program B Featuring shows by mature choreographers.
Vanguardia Dance Projects (VDP), is a collective focused on creating, presenting, promoting, and supporting works of dance artists with Latin American and indigenous backgrounds living in Canada.
They promote an ongoing exchange and collaboration with local and international dance organizations and artists. We are interested in the dissemination of contemporary artistic practices of dance artists with Latin American backgrounds in Canada, maintaining conversation with the rest of the country and the world.
